This has proved to be an exciting week and beginning to kindergarten.Thank you so much for working with us and getting everyone dropped off and leaving quickly.Everyone came in and we settled into the morning with no tears. There will be so many things going on in kindergarten this year and I will do my best to keep you informed of units we will be working on, upcoming events, and classroom happenings. Newsletters and other school information will be sent in the black folder marked Hilda J. Barbour on the front.This folder will be sent every Friday.Please be sure to read all newsletters I send for important information and send the folder back to school on Monday. Snack We will have snack every day in kindergarten.We are asking that every family send in one group snack on the first Monday of every month.We have 21 students so please be sure to send at least that amount for the group if you purchase individually wrapped snacks.We can also use bags/boxes of cereal, yogurt, crackers, snack mixes, and fruits.We would like to have some snacks to begin serving next week if you are able to get them here by Monday. Classroom behavior Please speak with your child about their day at school and following directions.This is a very busy time for everyone and there are a lot of rules and procedures to learn.Next week we will begin Color Changes in class andwe will be sending notes for those who receive a color change.Information about color changes is located in your child’s orientation packet.Remember, everyone makes mistakes but it is important to talk about making better choices and better decisions the next time.
